Still Jumping: Mediated Performance and Moving Image Across Asia and The Global Stage, 2004-2024.
Following the Artist Spotlight screening of six of her films at the Jumping Frames Hong Kong International Movement-Image Festival in November 2025, Dr Katrina McPherson has had a specially written article published in a new anthology.
"Still Jumping: Mediated Performance and Moving Image Across Asia and The Global Stage, 2004-2024” is a beautiful and important collection, edited by Elysa Wendi, director of Jumping Frames and published in partnership with City Contemporary Dance Company, Hong Kong.
Katrina’s article "There is a Place: Cinetrance, Trans-corporeality and New Ways of Seeing” explores perceptions of time, space and human connection to environment identifiable in her practice of collaborative, embodied filmmaking. The book will be available in the LCDS library soon.
